I am Carly Jones. What do you need to know about me?

I am a Jesus follower. I am created with a passion for people to know Him the way I do – as my friend, my brother & my Savior. I desire more than anything to know Christ & make Him known.

I have a gift for writing & speaking, and long to use these gifts to teach, train & inspire others to live as Jesus lived – loving God & others with His whole being.

This is why I started this blog. I want people to know my heart, to know what God is teaching me, to have a glimpse into the journey on which God has taken me on and continues to lead me. It has been a path of peaks & valleys. I am blessed to look back on times of incredible pain and see redemption & joy.

Much of my background and training is through camping ministry at SpringHill Camps & Forest Home. In my time at these camps I have recruited summer staff, trained staff; facilitated teams courses; run a variety of recreation activities; programmed for elementary, junior high, high school, women, & family retreats; acted; written dramas & curriculum; created worship experiences; designed sets; given talks & sermons; mentored college students; coordinated communications; written for publications, websites, & marketing pieces… the list could go on.

Currently, I am studying at Fuller Theological Seminary to pursue a Master’s of Theology & Ministry with an emphasis in Youth, Family & Culture. I also work full-time at Burbank Presbyterian Church as the Director of Communications & Female Student Ministries. My greatest joy is that I get to disciple middle school through college-aged young ladies, really challenging them out of their comfort zone and into a life of faith and trust in Christ.
